There's a pattern

Tomatoes
I've noticed that I'm not the only blogger who completely stops posting when life gets a bit stressful. However, I do apologize to you- my one or two readers who are not aware of the upheaval we're experiencing- and say that I will try to do better next week!

Brian actually took this picture of my tomatoes ripening on the window sill. Right now there are more tomatoes than there are windows, which is a good place to be if you ask me.

Prize-Winning Weapon

Zucchini
This is what I pulled out of the garden yesterday, the largest zucchini I have ever seen. Measured, it comes in at 12 inches long and 7.5 inches around. This makes Brian erupt into boyish laughter every time I mention it.

But, seriously? I could make a whole soup from this zuke and eat it for a week. I could defend my family against invaders by swinging it around like a club.

It's a funny thing about garden pride. I didn't exactly make this grow so huge and wieldy, but somehow I still feel like I can take credit for it!
